Netgains is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Shopify/WordPress Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for web development and a basic understanding of e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities:

This internship is for a budding developer who wants to learn and contribute to building engaging Shopify and WordPress websites for innovative brands and online retail shops. We’re looking for detail-oriented individuals who are eager to develop great user and shopping experiences.

• Assist in converting designs from Figma/XD to functional websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Support the development of Shopify and WordPress sites with guidance from senior developers.
• Collaborate with the team to understand client requirements and assist in providing solutions.
• Participate in troubleshooting issues related to website functionality and performance.
• Learn to customize themes and templates in Shopify and WordPress under supervision.
• Help test websites to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness across devices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Shopify Development:
• Assist in the design and development of Shopify-based e-commerce solutions.
• Support customization and enhancement of Shopify themes.
• WordPress Development:
• Help with the creation and management of WordPress websites.
• Assist in plugin installation and theme customization.
• Front-End Development:
• Implement front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Learn to ensure the responsiveness and performance of applications.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with team members to deliver projects efficiently.
• Share ideas and learn from the production team.
• Continuous Learning:
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to Shopify and WordPress.

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of e-commerce principles and practices is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
