SOME BASIC KRA’s

1. Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
2. Use editing techniques to maintain continuity and flow throughout the film.
3. Arrange scenes in a logical and engaging order to enhance the overall narrative.
4. Ensure that all elements are integrated seamlessly to enhance the overall viewing experience.
5. Ensure that the project follows a logical sequence that aligns with the storyline.
6. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
7. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
8. Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
9. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
10. Ability to work under tight schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of projects.
11. Present a portfolio of completed film productions, showcasing editing skills and creativity.
12. Demonstrate proficiency in using editing software and a comprehensive understanding of the post-production process.
13. Showcase a keen understanding of storytelling through visual elements and an ability to enhance the emotional impact of a film.
14. Provide examples of projects where initial concepts were successfully realized in the final edited product.

Requirements and skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
2. Previous work experience as a video editor.
3. Creative and artistic skills.
4. Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
5. Portfolio of completed film productions.
6. Ability to work to a tight schedule.

Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
