Job Description: HR & Accountant Intern
Position Summary:
The HR & Accountant Intern plays a dual-role, supporting both the finance and human resources departments. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting processes and HR operations, providing a well-rounded foundation for future career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Assistance:
- Help in screening resumes and scheduling interviews.
- Assist in on-boarding new employees by preparing necessary documents and coordinating orientation sessions.
- Employee Records Management:
- Maintain and update employee files and HR databases.
- Support in drafting HR policies, letters, and memos as needed.
- HR Operations:
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and training sessions.
- Track attendance, leave applications, and maintain related records.
- Payroll Coordination:
- Work with the accounts team to assist in processing payroll, including updating employee hours and deductions.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Financial Documentation:
- Assist in preparing invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Maintain and update financial records in accounting software.
- Help with data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
- Support Financial Operations:
- Monitor petty cash and report discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.
- Provide support during audits by organizing necessary documents.
- Vendor and Client Coordination:
- Support communication with vendors and clients regarding payments and queries.
- Assist in processing reimbursements and following up on pending payments.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in BBA, MBA Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and HR functions.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Tally).
- Exposure to HR management systems (HRMS) or payroll tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
