Microsoft Project Delivery Manager

 

Role Description:

 

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing project plans using Microsoft Project Online. The individual will focus on project planning, resourcing, effort estimation, delivery management, and tracking dependencies within project plans. They will also play a crucial role in establishing the project structure, ensuring seamless execution, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Structuring:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans in Microsoft Project Online.

• Set up project structures, including task hierarchies, dependencies, and milestones.

• Establish resource allocation strategies aligned with project goals.

2. Effort and Resource Management:

• Plan and manage resource availability and workload balance.

• Forecast effort and resources required for project completion.

3. Delivery and Dependency Management:

• Monitor project delivery timelines and milestones.

• Track and manage interdependencies across tasks and projects.

4. Execution and Monitoring:

• Utilize built-in tools for tracking project progress, variance analysis, and risk management.

• Manage and update the project schedule in real time.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

• Generate and present project performance reports.

• Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency.

6. Optimization:

• Enhance project efficiency using industry best practices and templates for Microsoft Project Online.

• Customize project management frameworks to fit organizational needs.

 

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project Online, including advanced scheduling and resource management features.

• Experience in setting up project structures and methodologies tailored to organizational needs.

• Strong understanding of effort management, dependency tracking, and project lifecycle workflows.

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with portfolio and program management tools, like Power BI for reporting.

• Knowledge of organizational transformation frameworks (as outlined in tools like Modus ETP) .
