Education Officer	 	 Mumbai Mobile Creches 	 	 	 	 Mumbai Mobile Creches is a non-profit organisation that has supported the health, safety and education of children living on construction sites for the last four decades.  It runs comprehensive day care centres on construction sites, serving children who are among the most vulnerable of the urban poor. It has been a pioneer in developing early childhood education programmes and curriculum. In Mumbai, it serves over 3500 children through approximately 25 centres every year. 	 	 Mumbai Mobile Creches is seeking an experienced person for the position of Education officer, for effectively carrying out the functions of teaching programme and meet the programme and donor’s requirements. The Education officer will be responsible for the following.	 	 Job Description	 	 	 	 To effectively implement, monitor and evaluate MMC education and library programme.	 	 To undertake regular visits to all the MMC centres to ensure the smooth implementation of programme and monitor children’s progress.	 	 To develop, improve and monitor monthly timetable for the 0-3 year olds, 3-6 years olds and 6-14 years old children.	 	 To implement various new tools and activities to enhance quality of education & library programme.	 	 To regularly report and document programme details to the senior management of MMC and other stake holders.	 	 To submit the monthly report by the 10th of every month on the activities & visits conducted.	 	 To undertake monthly training for all programme staff, including teachers and programme officers.	 	 To supervise and monitor library staff members.	 	 To identify and prioritize materials and equipment needed for the education programme in coordination with the Head Programme and CE.	 	 To distribute and maintain inventory of all education material.	 	 	 	 	Qualification	 	 A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Human Development 	 	 With 2 to 3 years’ experience in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential. 	 	 Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures	 	 Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi are required.	 	 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS word is essential.	 	 	 	 The Mumbai Mobile Creches’ administrative office is in South Mumbai. The Finance officer will be responsible for the following.	 	 Job Description	 	 	 	 Make payments and receive funds in accordance with finance procedures:	 	 Collect and examine supporting documents.	 	 Ensure that documents and signatures are valid.	 	 Prepare requisitions/payment orders and ensure that they are properly delivered.	 	 Record all transactions, on manual/computer systems as appropriate.	 	 Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions	 	 Accounting Entries	 	 Bank and Accounts reconciliation	 	 Ensure that all accounts records are filed in an orderly manner.	 	 Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll processes, TDS related documentation, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.	 	 Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors.	 	 Liasoning with Statutory and Internal Auditors	 	 Assisting the Supervisor- Sr. Finance Compliance Officer as and when required.	 	 	 	 	Qualification	 	 A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounts & Finance 	 	 With 3 to 4 years’ experience, preferably from NGO.
