Job Overview
Procurement Manager with experience in Food Industry Procurement - Pan India Level. Full-Time position at Mevive International.
Job Requirements
- Hindi Communication: Fluent in Hindi and other languages would be appreciated
- Procurement Experience: 10 years in relevant field, with 4-5 years in food ingredient purchasing/procurement.
- Procurement Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and quality management.
- Cost Reduction: Proven track record in strategic cost reduction and leveraging vendor relationships.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel & BI experience.
- Certifications: Experience with halal certification and ISO.
- Food Industry: Relevant experience required.
- Education: B. Tech./M. Sc. in Food Technology or equivalent; MBA preferred.
- Additional Skills: Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, independent work capability, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor quality control in procurement processes.
- Plan, organize, and control activities related to local/import of food ingredients and materials.
- Prepare market analysis reports and determine delivery conditions.
- Establish quality requirements for suppliers and ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain competitive edge by optimizing company processes.
- Collaborate with operating staff on procedures and systems.
- Obtain current commodity pricing and availability information.
- Support released products, evaluate field performance, and recommend actions.
- Negotiate pricing and communicate changes to management.
- Provide forecasts to suppliers and prepare/analyze RFQs.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Implement and monitor procurement reporting systems.
- Resolve vendor claims and ensure contract compliance with company policy.
