Software Developer - Equipment & Plant Configurators

Main Duties

·        Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software parts of the configuration systems.

·        Develop solution based on Business requirements in Configure Price and Quote Process

·        Supporting Quality & Code-Check.

·        Troubleshooting, debugging, and improving the existing software.

·        Documenting (solutions/ test processes/ wiki/ etc.).

·        Initializing the User Acceptance Tests (UAT).

Area of Responsibility/

Skills 

·      Software design and development for Machine and Plant Configurators in 3D with capability of managing and developing further improvements

·      SAP Variant Configurator

Qualifications

Education Required

·      Bachelor’s degree in computer science / software development.

·      Or Student / Career changer with experience.

Areas of Expertise

·        Experience in software development (at least one of C#, C++, Lisp, Abap).

·        Data Base Technology: SQL.

·        Source Control System: GIT.

·        Good knowledge of English verbal and written.

Optional, but would be perfect:

·        Experience in CAD-Systems (3D, AutoCAD, etc.).

·        Experience with Machine Industry Configurators

·        Experience with test scenarios & change management

Methodological Skills

·      Understands how to proceed systematically/ methodically.

·      Has the ability to quickly gain an overview of the situation; analyze situations and to propose workable solutions.

·      Knows project management methods needed to complete projects successfully.

Personal Qualities

·      Acts as a service provider and maintains good relationships with the development team and the users of EqC & SAP VC

·      Fast learner.

·      Has a high commitment to quality.

·      Willingness to travel (0 – 60%).
