Job Description: Ward Boy

A Ward Boy is responsible for providing basic patient care services, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital wards, and assisting the nursing staff and doctors in their day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in moving around the hospital and transporting them to various departments for tests and procedures
• Help in admitting and discharging patients
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the hospital wards, including changing bed sheets, cleaning and sanitizing the patient's room, and disposing of waste properly
• Assist the nursing staff and doctors in their day-to-day activities
• Monitor the patient's vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff or doctors
• Provide basic care services such as feeding, bathing, and grooming patients
• Assist in maintaining the inventory of medical supplies and equipment in the ward
• Maintain records of patient care and treatment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients and equipment
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Previous experience as a Ward Boy or similar role is preferred
