Overview:

The Radiologist MD DNB DMRD Consultant plays a pivotal role in the healthcare system, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment planning of patients by interpreting medical images. This role is essential for ensuring accurate diagnoses, guiding treatment decisions, and improving patient outcomes. Based in Pitampura, Delhi, this consultant will be vital in collaborating with other healthcare professionals and specialists, working towards a holistic approach to patient care. The consultant will be expected to stay updated with advancements in radiological technologies and practices, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain a high level of professionalism while delivering patient-centered care. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of departmental protocols, participate in multidisciplinary discussions, and engage in continuous professional development, aligning with the organization’s commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
  • Review and interpret medical images for accurate diagnosis.
  • Prepare detailed reports on imaging findings for referring physicians.
  • Collaborate with other medical specialists to discuss patient cases and treatment options.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain radiological equipment.
  • Conduct patient consultations to explain imaging procedures and answer questions.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology and imaging techniques.
  • Provide educational support and training to junior radiology staff.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to discuss ongoing cases and quality improvement.
  • Engage in continuous medical education through workshops and seminars.
  • Participate in research activities to advance the field of radiology.
  • Maintain patient records and imaging documentation accurately.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries related to radiology.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols to improve diagnostic accuracy.
  • Provide expert opinion on complex cases as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD in Radiology or related field.
  • DNB in Radiology or equivalent post-graduate qualification.
  • DMRD (Diploma in Medical Radiology Diagnosis) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Proven experience with a variety of imaging technologies and modalities.
  • Strong understanding of radiological safety standards.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Proficiency in using computerized radiological equipment.
  • Experience in patient interaction and consultation.
