We are looking candidate from Retail - Segment Only ( Sale and Operation Managment experience Retail outlets - Mens wear , Kids Wear , woment Wear outlet sales and operation )
Job Purpose:
To provide visionary leadership in the development and execution of the company's strategic plans, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and growth while overseeing all operational aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
● Work with the Board and senior management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
● Lead the development and implementation of the company’s short, medium, and long-term strategy.
● Bring up to speed the organization in standard and latest retail practices.
● Ability to leverage the groups manufacturing and sourcing capabilities and make the brand product led.
2. Operations Management:
● Oversee daily operations ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
● Fine tune the supply chain process to ensure on time delivery of merchandise.
● Establishing precise stock level benchmarks from the warehouse to every sales outlet and Replenishment strategies.
● Formulating category-wise option plans for the season, setting budgets and targets in advance.
● Ensure the right infrastructure is in place for the company to grow and succeed.
3. Financial Management:
● Ensure the company’s fiscal activities are in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
● Delivering on key financial metrics viz channel –wise NSV, like to like growth managing digital and advertisement.
● Fine tune the working capital management to ensure on time payments to vendor
● Responsible for managing a commercial and desirable range and retail environment that meets sales budgets, margin targets, proposed range mix and customer expectations.
● Oversee financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
● Monitor financial performance regularly and adjust strategies as necessary.
4. Sales & Marketing:
● Oversee the company's sales and marketing strategies to ensure profitability and growth.
● Maintain Strong relationship with Large Format Store, Franchise, COFOs, Dealer, Building franchise network, Build retail network, increasing number of retail stores.
● Holding sales review meetings with the sales team to identify strengths and weaknesses, with the aim of boosting sales and motivating the team.
● Leverage the brand strength and increase the number of large format stores
● Implementing processes to consistently track sales budget and profitability metrics against the plan.
● Boost e-commerce sales by implementing an effective digital marketing strategy.
● Broaden collaborations with e-commerce platforms.
● Ensure the brand presence and reputation are consistently elevated in all markets.
● Controlling discount outflow as per the company’s budget.
5. Fashion & Design:
● Analysing international fashion trends and adapting them for the Indian market based on local preferences.
● Arrive at the brand design template based on sell through and market requirements
● Update the team with the latest fashion and design trends, guiding them in the direction of these trends.
6. Human Resources:
● Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and meets social responsibilities.
● Ensure proper talent management strategies are in place including hiring, training, and retention.
● Strengthen the team with a performance focused outlook
7. Risk Management:
● Identify and address potential risks in the retail industry.
● Ensure the company's compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
8. Stakeholder Relations:
● Act as the main point of contact between the Board of Directors and the company’s operations.
● Overseeing all departments - Sales, E-commerce, Accounts, HR, IT, Design, Project, VM and Retail Planning, Warehouse - while motivating the team towards the organization's objectives.
9. Corporate Governance:
● Ensure the company fulfils its responsibilities with regard to governance practices and all necessary documentation.
10. Continuous Improvement:
● Drive continuous improvement in all facets of the business through lean methodologies and innovation
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Master’s or other advanced degrees are advantageous.
● Extensive experience in a senior management role within the retail industry.
● Proven experience in developing and executing business strategies.
● Proficiency in decision-making, crisis management, and problem-solving.
● Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
● Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
