Job description

Designs projects and/or review architectural or engineering plans,

Advises Subcontractors on the interpretation of plans, recommends changes when necessary.

Analysing architectural designs and plans

Ensuring all designs meet industry standards and government regulations and local Authority norms specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with government codes, laws and regulations

Provides technical expertise in development or review of policies and procedures in relation to architectural structures and systems and construction/safety codes.

Provides advice and develop design documents to initiate and modify architectural, interior design and space planning solutions.

Performs design drafting including preliminary drawings, working drawings and full detail drawings for architectural, structural and mechanical works associated with building construction or improvement projects.

Provides finish selections including colour palettes, carpet and wall finishes, lighting and other various interior selections.

Prepares and/or review preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.

Researches literature and maintain knowledge of current building materials, structural, mechanical and electrical system codes and methods of application.

Reviews Subcontractor's shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract agreements by checking them for technical accuracy according to accepted guidelines

Researching and inquiring about different materials

Scheduling and delivering at skill enhancement workshops

Communicating project status and completion timelines to the clients

Preparing building models and structure plans

Conducting mock-up sessions

Guiding the construction project from start to finish

Presenting project briefs to clients

Understanding the clients requirements/preferences and environmental impacts on the construction project

Creating blueprints and making alterations based on the feedback from the client

Developing projects by adhering to the specified budget and timeline

Undertaking regular site visits and inspections

Required Candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline

8+ years of experience as an Architect in a reputed architectural firm or construction company and builders.

Basic understanding of the rules and regulations governing the Construction industry

Municipal Regulation

Familiarity and expert with design software like Adobe Photoshop and 3d Studio VIZ,

In-depth understanding of CAD and AutoCAD software.
