Mahabell Industries is seeking an experienced Manager for our Sheet Metal Fabrication and Machine Shop. This senior-level, full-time position is based in Tumakuru, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have between 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience. The role requires proficiency in quality control, technical knowledge, and team building.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in quality control to ensure high standards of production (Mandatory skill).
• BE/Diploma
• In-depth technical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes (Mandatory skill).
• Proven ability to build and lead a team effectively (Mandatory skill).
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and remedy operational issues swiftly.
• Project management skills to oversee and coordinate multiple manufacturing projects efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Decision-making skills to make timely and informed decisions impacting production and operations.
• Leadership qualities to inspire, guide, and manage the workforce towards achieving organizational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire sheet metal fabrication and machine shop operations to ensure smooth workflow.
• Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to meet industry standards.
• Manage and mentor the production team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Coordinate with project management teams to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Assess technological advancements and implement necessary upgrades to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Liaise with senior management to report on production status and address any operational issues.
• Sheet metal fabrication technology skills and its process
• CNC,VMC, Laser cutting, TIG and MIG welding and metal working / operations
• Understanding Machine programming and its application scope
• Understanding engineering drawing and its importance in each parts manufacturing
• RM and Production Planning ( scheduling machines) for effective utilization of resources to meet the targets
• Process quality ,Product quality and its importance
• Costing – Product cost, process cost and Rework cost and its importance
• Communication skills – Vendor, Departmental and with Customers
• Reviews – RM planning and status, process quality, delivery commitments
• Comply to Statutory requirement
• Customer complaints handling
• Machine maintenance and spares managements
