We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the finance department by assisting with various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
2. Assist with accounts receivable duties, such as invoicing, cash receipts posting, and customer account reconciliation.
3. Support payroll processing activities, including data entry, payroll adjustments, and payroll tax calculations.
4. Assist in preparing and analyzing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
6. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.
8. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation for audit purposes.
9. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency.
10. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
