Role: Service Engineer

Job Description:

Service Engineer Responsibilities:

·        Identify & rectify machine tool faults in a timely manner.

·        Be responsible for servicing, maintaining, commissioning, installing and providing technical support for a wide range of Machine Tool products.

·        Have a good understanding and working knowledge of machine tool control systems, in particular: Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain systems.

·        Have a good understanding of machine tool alignments and geometry.

·        Laser alignment and Ball bar experience would be beneficial.

·        Provide our customers with the highest levels of service possible.

·        Build rapport with colleagues and customers to improve results.

·        Add value to the services provided and achieve first time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times and lower cost to customer.

·        Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools.

·        Have a good knowledge of Health and safety requirements.

·        Ready to travel occasionally to overseas - Customer site.

·        Communicating with clients, engineers and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.

·        Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.

·        Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements.

·        Providing recommendation of spare parts for customer when needed.

·        Document and Report writing on action taken and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.

Service Engineer requirements:

·        A Diploma in relevant field is preferred. [D.M.E., D.E.E., Mechatronics]

·        A relevant certificate is advantageous.

·        A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

·        A Valid Passport.

·        Excellent active listening and customer service skills.

·        The ability to deal with multiple requests without being overwhelmed.

·        The ability to remain professional under pressure.

·        Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
