Job Overview

Longitude Constructions is seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating and managing the costs of construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standard. This is a full-time position based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate contractor bids and proposals, and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-effective alternatives.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on project costs, progress, and variances.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and quality standards.
• Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and clients on cost-related matters.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in quantity surveying.
