Role Summary:

As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and

security of our databases, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Additionally, knowledge of PostgreSQL databases will be advantageous. You will play a key role

in fine-tuning our databases to eliminate performance bottlenecks, writing efficient stored

procedures, and ensuring best practices in database performance, security, and backup

procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

● Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the

security and integrity of the company database.

● Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and

versions when required.

● Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in SQL Server databases.

● Design and implement efficient stored procedures to enhance database performance.

● Ensure that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning

correctly.

● Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with established standards,

policies, and configuration guidelines.

● Demonstrate a strong understanding of PostgreSQL databases, including maintenance,

performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

● Collaborate with development teams to advise on database operations, security

concerns, and efficient data retrieval.

● Knowledge of .NET Core (C#) development environment is a plus, providing insight into

application integration and database management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

● Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL

Server environments.

● Experience with PostgreSQL databases.

● Expertise in database performance tuning, backup, and recovery procedures.

● Familiarity with .NET Core (C#) is considered an advantage.

● Strong understanding of SQL, including the ability to write efficient stored procedures

and queries.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
