Job Title: Curriculum Developer (Class 4-8)

Location: Indiranagar, Bangalore

Job Summary:

The Middle School Curriculum Developer is responsible for creating, evaluating, and enhancing curriculum content for students in grades 4 through 8. This role focuses on developing subject-specific curricula that are aligned with educational standards and tailored to the developmental needs of middle school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, revise, and implement comprehensive middle school curricula in core subjects such as Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and others as required.
• Ensure the curriculum promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning.
• Align curriculum with national, state, or international educational standards and ensure it prepares students for high school academic requirements.
• Develop instructional materials, lesson plans, and interactive resources that meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students.
• Create assessments, including quizzes, exams, and performance-based tasks, to evaluate student comprehension and mastery of the subject matter.
• Design teacher training materials and guides to support the effective implementation of the curriculum in classrooms.
• Work with the academic team to ensure curriculum content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with the institution’s mission and goals.
• Incorporate feedback from teachers, students, and parents into the ongoing development and refinement of curriculum materials.
• Participate in curriculum review meetings and professional development sessions to stay informed about educational trends and advancements.
• Ensure that curriculum design meets educational standards and regulatory requirements while considering the social and emotional development of middle school learners.
• Collect and analyze data on student performance and curriculum effectiveness.
• Use assessment data to continuously refine and improve the curriculum for better student outcomes.
• Incorporate modern teaching strategies, including project-based learning, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), flipped classrooms, and digital literacy into the curriculum.
• Incorporate 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and digital competence within the curriculum.
• Provide ongoing support and training for teachers in the delivery of curriculum content.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching at the middle school and high school level.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development at the middle school and high school level.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design principles, educational standards, and middle school student development.
• Experience with educational technology and e-learning tools is a plus.

• Deep understanding of the developmental and educational needs of middle school students.
• Attention to detail and innovation in curriculum design and teaching methodologies.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive curriculum improvements.
• Knowledge of current trends in education and middle school pedagogy.
• Comfortable with technology and proficiency in working with Google drive.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with educators and subject matter experts.
