Location: Bangalore (Bommasandra)

Position: NPD Engineer

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Qualification: BE/Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Aeronautical / Industrial and Production Engineering

Reporting: Head - Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities:

APQP /PPAP approval of new components

PPAP document Preparation

SIR & ISLR follow-up.

Design and manufacturing of Tooling and Fixtures.

Process Capability Study.

Work with Quality team for setting up Inspection Process with checking fixtures, gauges.

Performing complete development activities from feasibility study, taking approvals for deviations from customer, Raw material sourcing, manufacturing, samples submission and getting the approval for bulk supply.

To work with Tooling team for design and manufacturing of the tooling.

Coordinating with purchase & quality teams for new and existing supplier/process development

To visit suppliers to establish the process and quality.

Support organization initiatives such as Kaizen implementation.

Other required qualifications/experience/skills for the job:

a. Experience on G D & T, Tolerance Analysis, FMEA, APQP and PPAP and similar processes used in various industries including Automotive and Aerospace Industries.

b. Experience in Automotive manufacturing preferred.

c. Exposure to SolidWorks software package is desirable.

d. Exposure to material science/metallurgy, heat treatment process, various surface treatment processes is desirable.
