Job Overview:
The FMCG Team Lead will be responsible for leading and managing a team to ensure the efficient execution of daily operations, ensuring product availability, and driving the success of our FMCG products in the market. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire a team, and a solid understanding of the FMCG industry to meet and exceed operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales and operational staff to achieve targets, enhance productivity, and maintain a high standard of work ethics.
- Sales & Operations: Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring smooth processes, timely execution, and that all targets are met in line with company objectives.
- Product Distribution: Ensure that the company’s FMCG products are effectively distributed and are available in retail outlets, wholesalers, and other channels.
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for the team to improve performance and career growth.
- Market Monitoring & Reporting: Track market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to ensure the company’s products remain competitive and in-demand.
- Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while preventing overstocking or understocking issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure alignment and the smooth execution of company strategies.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with key retail partners, suppliers, and distributors to ensure successful product placements and brand visibility.
- Problem-Solving: Handle any operational or team challenges and provide solutions to maintain high team morale and efficient processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in FMCG operations or sales, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of FMCG products, market dynamics, and consumer trends.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market and team performance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in handling multi-location teams or managing regional FMCG sales operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM or sales tracking tools.
