Kruti Coffee is a social enterprise established in 2013 with a mission to impact coffee growers in Koraput, Odisha. We work closely with tribal and organic coffee growers to make coffee sustainable for the producers and the entire value chain. We have partnered with three farm partners to revive and support coffee farming in the region. In addition to our farming initiatives, we have also launched a retail chain of coffee houses in India.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team at Kruti Retail Ventures LLP. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks to our customers. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The job location for this role is in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of different coffee brewing methods and coffee types
• Familiarity with various coffee-making equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in food preparation
• Barista certification or training is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and take their orders for coffee drinks
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and more
• Follow recipes and ensure consistency in the taste and presentation of coffee drinks
• Provide excellent customer service by being knowledgeable about our coffee products and offering recommendations
• Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the coffee preparation area
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Monitor and restock coffee supplies
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
