Job Title : Assistant Manager – Costing and Controlling

Job Summary :We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our Finance & Costing
team as an Assistant Manager, specializing in Costing and Analysis. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in cost accounting, and a proven ability to drive insightful decision-making
through detailed reporting related to costing. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent
analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying cost optimization opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of costs across various departments to identify trends, variances, and
areas of improvement.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand cost drivers and implement cost control
measures
- Ensure accurate Product Costing by implementing systems to capture actual costs across the
organisation.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor budget performance and provide regular forecasts to support proactive decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather budget inputs and analyze budget vs. actual
performance.
3. Financial Modeling:
- Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Conduct scenario analysis to assess the impact of various factors on financial outcomes.
4. Variance Analysis:
- Investigate and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial performance.
- Provide recommendations to address unfavorable variances and improve overall financial
performance.
5. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cost Accounting, or a related field. CMA preferable.
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in cost accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear
and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
