- Oversee film shoots, including pre-production, production, and postproduction
- Create and adhere to production schedules, locations, and budgets
- Plan, direct, stage, and film shoots using all film types (digital, film, and 35 mm)
- Direct camera operators and lighting crews, and assign appropriate shots and camera positions
- Record video or still images during production, and edit video footage to create final film product
- Analyze and process footage to create a final video product and master print
- Place film orders, enter film orders into computer system, and log film orders
- Maintain inventory of film, tapes, and batteries
- Upload final project to digital editing software and postproduction software
- Capture and archive footage to create production files for future projects
