Platform Engineer (Azure and Dynamics365 F&O)

The Platform Engineer is responsible for the installation, development, configuration, and operations of the D365 F&O cloud environment. This role provides solution performance analysis and tuning guidance along with ensuring alignment between business solution and systems architecture. This includes being a primary liaison and point of coordination with horizontal infrastructure and cloud teams providing foundation technology and services in support of our environments. This Platform Engineer/Data Engineer role will be responsible for helping to document, design, and develop the D365 cloud infrastructure and all of its capabilities including data provisioning and integrations, ensuring that security, configuration and management is hardened into all of these components.

This Platform Engineer/Data Engineer will ensure the efficient flow, management, and consumption of data across our business systems. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, implement robust data pipelines, and contribute to the overall data strategy of the organization.

Duties:

• Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective availability, protection, and integrity of data assets.
• Plan and implement capacity and resource expansion to ensure data warehouse scalability.
• Design, code, test, and document all new or modified SQL code, data pipelines, etc.

·  Produce ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure in Azure Synapse.

·  Maintains cloud components (Azure SQL Database, Synapse)

·  Researches, analyzes and recommends changes required for system growth (Azure cloud) by utilizing industry-standard monitoring and research tools, observability and telemetry data.

• Identifies and resolves problems, often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options, implements solutions, communicates results to ensure corrective and timely action is taken, and manages incident resolution to ensure all components work together.

·  Updates job knowledge by researching new technologies

Requirements:

4+ years of Azure SQL experience with at least 3 years in product implementation and hands-on -cloud technical activities within enterprise environments

4+ years of SQL Administrator experience in a multinational company

 Working knowledge of monitoring/logging and dashboarding tools such as Azure Health Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, etc.

Experience in troubleshooting and SQL Server performance optimization (cloud-hosted)

Experience with D365 F&O implementations and

Self-learning skills, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with excellent organization and documentation skill

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to issue resolution.

Recommended:

• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language.
• Azure Cloud Experience and certifications.
• Knowledge of Azure Bus Topics, Queue.
• Knowledge of Databricks
• Proven expertise in Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning.
• Understanding of Configuration Management and Change Management Best Practices.
• Power platform business development environment including support/maintenance
