We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based data solutions. This role requires expertise in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake to manage complex data pipelines and workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Medallion architecture, advanced SQL and Python skills for troubleshooting, and proficiency in data performance optimization techniques.

The Azure Architect will play a key role in designing scalable data architectures, ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance for business-critical data solutions. Additionally, they will leverage monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Log Analytics to ensure the health and reliability of data pipelines.

Azure Data Architecture Design & Implementation:

·      Design and develop data solutions using Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake.

·      Manage, build, and optimize data pipelines and workflows to meet business needs.

·      Medallion Architecture:

·      Implement and maintain the Medallion architecture with structured Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers to ensure data consistency, quality, and usability.

Data Flow Management:

·      Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data flow issues in complex environments.

·      Design scalable solutions to handle large datasets with high performance and reliability.

Data Processing and Performance Optimization:

·      Optimize data storage and access performance using techniques such as partitioning and indexing.

·      Conduct regular performance tuning of SQL queries and data pipelines.

Programming & Troubleshooting:

·      Utilize SQL and Python to debug and troubleshoot data processing issues.

·      Build custom scripts and solutions to automate processes and enhance data workflows.

Monitoring and Health Checks:

·      Implement monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar technologies.

·      Regularly track and report pipeline health, ensuring timely resolutions for any issues.

Collaboration:

·      Work closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, and analysts to design and deliver impactful data solutions.

·      Provide guidance on best practices for data architecture, pipeline design, and data governance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·      Proven expertise with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.

·      Strong knowledge of Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).

·      Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and troubleshooting.

·      Experience with data performance optimization techniques, including partitioning and indexing.

·      Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor or Log Analytics for pipeline health tracking.

·      Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices in cloud environments.

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
