Job Description:

Are you a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for architectural design? Do you have a strong understanding of building facades and a keen eye for aesthetics? If so, we are looking for a Facade Designer to join our team and help create visually stunning and functional building exteriors.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Conceptualization: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing facade designs that meet project requirements and client expectations.
2. Material Selection: Research, select, and specify appropriate materials for facade construction, taking into account factors such as durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
3. Detailed Drawings: Create detailed design drawings, blueprints, and specifications that clearly communicate the design intent to construction teams.
4. Code Compliance: Ensure that facade designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
5. 3D Modeling: Utilize 3D modeling software to create visual representations of facade designs, allowing for a better understanding of the final product.
6. Cost Estimation: Work closely with project managers and cost estimators to develop accurate cost estimates for facade construction.
7. Construction Support: Provide on-site support during construction to ensure that the facade is implemented according to the design and quality standards.
8. Quality Control: Conduct inspections and quality control checks to verify that the finished facade meets the design specifications and client expectations.
9. Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and materials in facade design and construction to continually improve design processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in facade design, preferably in the architectural or construction industry.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or similar programs.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and their properties.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Portfolio showcasing previous facade design work is a plus.
