Job Overview
ABCD&CO is seeking a Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This is a full-time position at the CA Intermediate level, ideal for individuals eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. The candidate will be expected to have a foundational understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory skill) - essential for understanding and contributing to our financial operations and audit processes.
- CA Intermediate (Mandatory skill) - required to demonstrate a thorough command of fundamental chartered accountancy concepts and practices.
- TDS (Mandatory skill) - crucial for handling tax deduction at source processes efficiently and accurately.
- GST - necessary for managing Goods and Services Tax processes within the financial department.
- Income Tax - required to assist in the preparation and submission of income tax returns and forms.
- Accounting - essential for maintaining accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and balance sheets.
- Auditing - necessary for conducting internal audits and supporting risk management initiatives.
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Support the team in managing tax assessments and other financial audits by assembling detailed financial data.
- Handle tax matters including GST, TDS, and Income Tax computations, preparation, and submissions.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments and provide recommendations for financial improvements.
- Maintain accounting records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and prepare accounting schedules.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures that enhance financial control.
- Stay updated on industry changes and financial regulations to ensure compliance and efficient practices.
