Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior WordPress Developer specializing in backend development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building, customizing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites. You will play a crucial role in developing custom themes and plugins, optimizing website performance, and ensuring the scalability and security of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of WordPress sites, including database optimization, caching, and server configurations.
• Security: Ensure all WordPress websites are secure by implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and patches.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• API Integration: Implement and manage third-party integrations using RESTful APIs and other methods.
• Version Control: Manage code repositories using Git, ensuring best practices in version control.
• Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for backend issues and bugs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver cohesive and high-quality web solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of development processes, codebases, and user guides for custom solutions.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress backend development.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
• WordPress Knowledge: Deep understanding of WordPress.org standards to develop themes and plugins.
• Performance Tuning: Strong experience with website performance optimization techniques.
• Security Best Practices: In-depth knowledge of WordPress security best practices and techniques.
• Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control.

• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean or Google Cloud.
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Experience with ACF for custom content management.
