We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with 4 years of experience to join our contracting company. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, payroll, and expense management.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and reconcile bank statements.

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.

• Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

Construction Accounting:

• Manage construction project accounting, including job cost tracking, progress billing, change orders, and project closeouts.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue and costs.
• Perform cost accounting activities, such as calculating labor and overhead rates, and analyzing project profitability.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development of annual budgets, working closely with department managers and project teams.
• Prepare financial forecasts, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.

Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

Vendor Management:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, revenue recognition, and contract management, vendor management.
• Proficiency in using accounting software with experience in implementing and optimizing financial systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
