Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of laundry staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  2. Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and packaging of linens and garments.
  3. Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels of linens, chemicals, and supplies, and order replenishments as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  4. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and garment care, ensuring that all items are properly laundered, sorted, and inspected for quality.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain laundry equipment, troubleshoot issues, and schedule repairs or replacements as necessary to minimize downtime.
  6. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for staff and prevent accidents or injuries.
  7. Cost Control: Implement cost-saving measures to optimize laundry operations while maintaining quality standards, such as water and energy conservation initiatives.
  8. Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests related to laundry services, and strive to exceed customer expectations.
  9. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on laundry operations, including production statistics, inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and staff performance.
  10. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for laundry staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment.
  11. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to laundry operations.
  12. Communication: Maintain open communication channels with other departments, such as housekeeping, front office, and maintenance, to coordinate laundry services efficiently.


  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management or laundry operations is preferred.
  2. Experience: Previous experience in laundry operations or management, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
  3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  4. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and garment care.
  6. Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating laundry equipment and familiarity with laundry chemicals and cleaning agents.
  7. Problem-Solving Abilities: Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
  8. Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers.
