The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics and supply chain process. This includes overseeing the efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as ensuring that all logistics operations are in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and maximize efficiency.
  1. Shipping and Transportation:
  • Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  1. Warehousing:
  • Supervise and organize warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
  • Implement and optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
  1. Team Management:
  • Lead and supervise a team of logistics professionals.
  • Provide training and support to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
  1. Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing logistics and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for shipments, customs, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Cost Management:
  • Optimize logistics operations to minimize costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Implement best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
