The ideal candidate would have a strong background in SQL Server Management and Query Optimization, along with a comprehensive understanding of database management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in SQL Server Management (Mandatory skill)
• Expertise in Query Optimization techniques (Mandatory skill)
• Skilled in Database Performance Tuning and monitoring to ensure high levels of performance and availability
• Proficient in developing and implementing Backup and Recovery strategies to safeguard data
• Experience with Security Management to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations
• Knowledge in High Availability Solutions like Always On, Clustering, and Replication
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve database issues effectively
• Proficiency in Scripting languages such as T-SQL for automating database tasks

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security
• Optimize and tune queries to improve database performance and manage system resources effectively
• Develop and implement strategies for Backup and Recovery to protect data against loss and corruption
• Ensure security measures are in place to protect sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance
• Implement and manage High Availability Solutions to minimize downtime and ensure consistent database operation
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, including performance bottlenecks and technical glitches
• Write and maintain scripts for automating database management tasks and processes
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schema and structures
• Monitor and report on database health and performance metrics to stakeholders
