Job Description:

As a Senior MERN Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications. You will work closely with our product and design teams to deliver seamless, scalable, and efficient solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the MERN stack, along with a strong background in full-stack web development and a passion for staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
2. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.
4. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
5. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
6. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
7. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and team productivity.
8. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
9. Implement automated testing frameworks and perform unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
10. Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data consistency, security, and performance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with a strong focus on the MERN stack.
3. Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks (React.js).
4. Extensive experience with server-side programming using Node.js and Express.js.
5. Proficiency in working with MongoDB, including database design, indexing, and performance optimization.
6. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
7. Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and independently.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
10. Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable web applications on time and within budget.
11. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices is a plus.
12. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

1. Knowledge of other front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., Angular, Vue.js).
2. Experience with GraphQL.
3. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
4. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.
5. Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
