Job Title: Automotive Software Test Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Software Test Engineer to join our team. The role involves testing and validation of embedded software for automotive systems. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of embedded systems, testing methodologies, and automotive standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute unit, integration, and system test cases for embedded software.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis using industry-standard tools to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure adherence to software architecture and design principles.
• Work on debugging and troubleshooting embedded software issues in automotive systems.
• Ensure software meets functional safety standards (if applicable).
• Document test results, report defects, and track them through resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in embedded software development and testing.
• Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
• Good understanding of embedded system concepts and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Hands-on experience with static and dynamic analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, Polyspace).
• Expertise in writing unit, integration, and system test cases.
• Familiarity with automotive software development and testing methodologies.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Knowledge of C++ and scripting languages like Bash, Python, Tcl, or Perl.
• Understanding of ARM architecture and ARM-based System on Chips (SoCs).
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and tools.
