- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children in the daycare.
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans and activities that align with the developmental needs and interests of the children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive daycare community.
- Provide nurturing care to infants and young children, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines.
- Observe and assess children's behavior, development, and progress, and communicate findings to parents and the daycare director as needed.
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, including assisting with meal preparation, cleaning, and maintaining supplies.
- Support children's social and emotional development by encouraging positive behavior, resolving conflicts, and modeling appropriate social skills.
- Plan and participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, such as arts and crafts, storytime, games, and physical play.
- Implement positive discipline strategies that promote self-control and respect for others.
- Keep accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents, and communicate with parents regarding their child's daily activities and development.
