Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Trainer - Data & Analytics with Spark on AWS

About the Role:We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Trainer in Data & Analytics, specializing in Spark and AWS technologies. The successful candidate will design and deliver comprehensive training programs, mentor learners, and provide expertise on data engineering and analytics solutions.Location: Mumbai
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver in-depth training programs on Data & Analytics with a focus on Spark and AWS services.
- Create training materials, including presentations, hands-on labs, and documentation, tailored to different skill levels.
- Conduct live training sessions, workshops, and webinars for diverse audiences, including data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and support learners through their development journey, providing expert advice and feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand training needs and customize programs accordingly.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering, big data technologies, and AWS services.
- Provide subject matter expertise for projects involving Spark and AWS, guiding teams on architecture, implementation, and optimization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Spark, PySpark, and AWS services.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and IAM.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala for data processing.
- Familiarity with data governance, security practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and CI/CD practices.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift and/or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight).
- Prior experience in a teaching or mentoring role within a professional setting.
