The role asking for a highly experienced Instrumentation Project Manager with a strong background in Petroleum & Gaseous Fuel Retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Projects & managing instrumentation systems, ensuring their efficient operation, and providing technical support to optimize performance. This role demands team work, initial leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of petroleum retail environments.

 


Job Accountabilities:

 

Instrumentation Project: Oversee the overall project execution including, engineering support, drawing layout validations, specification datasheet review, field execution and planning. operation and maintenance of all instrumentation systems within petroleum retail facilities, including but not limited to fuel pumps, tank gauges, leak detection systems, and environmental monitoring equipment.

 

Technical/Operational Support: Provide expert technical support to troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to address complex technical challenges effectively.

 

Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all instrumentation systems comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures as necessary.

 

 

Performance Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of instrumentation systems, enhancing reliability, efficiency, and accuracy. Utilize data analytics and predictive maintenance techniques to proactively identify areas for improvement.

 

Team Leadership:

 

Vendor/Contractor Management: Manage relationships with instrumentation vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of products and services. Negotiate contracts, evaluate vendor performance, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.

 

 

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

 

·        Strong technical expertise in instrumentation systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

·        Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

·        In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

·        Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

·        Proficiency in data analysis, predictive maintenance techniques, and relevant software applications.

 

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

 

·        Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

·        5 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation Projects & operations, preferably in the petroleum & gaseous retail industry
