JD For Windows & VMware:

·        Ensure the 24/7/365 availability of all systems, applications, and infrastructure

·        Configure new servers, applications, updates, and develop processes and procedures that fulfil the support of secure systems.

·        Create and manage security and distribution groups, including managing group memberships.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues, including authentication problems, replication issues, and directory service errors.

·        Implement and maintain Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) for issuing and managing digital certificates within the organization.

·        Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory services, including domain controllers, DNS, Windows Failover Cluster etc

·        Create and organize OUs to structure the AD hierarchy efficiently.

·        Create, edit, and link Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to OUs.

·        Assign permissions to users or groups for specific OUs or objects within the AD.

·        Diagnose and resolve complex AD-related issues.

·        Manage security group memberships, which can impact resource access.

·        Extend or modify the AD schema for custom attributes or classes.

·        Manage complex GPOs, including scripting and software deployment.

·        Implement auditing policies and ensure AD compliance with security policies.

·        Plan for AD scalability and high availability to ensure business continuity.

·        Implement automation scripts and tools for routine tasks and reporting.

·        Optimize AD performance by monitoring and tuning AD component

·        Participate in anticipating, mitigating, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues on servers in a timely and accurate fashion.

·        Coordinate with other staff, to prioritize and work on continuing to improve existing systems.

·        Review new technology according to company direction.

·        Advanced Remote Desktop and Terminal Server experience.

·        VMware admin experience (build server from templates, resource management)

·        Have a capability and confidence to install, operate, debug and manage a VMware based VM Farm using components like, ESX, vCenter, vCloud Suite of products, VMware PowerCLI based automation and so on.

·        Documentation skill to create, update and manage technical documentation on the VM Farm use cases and projects, including inventory management.

·        Should have the communication skills to engage in technical discussion with the team on projects or products related to VMware technology.

·        Basic skills to understand the use cases from customers (internal product teams) and to discuss the same with architects within the team for implementation of the same.

·        Experience on VMware products and should be expert in vSphere 6.x  & 7.x suite of products.

·        Basic knowledge on Networking and storage technologies in order to understand the use case and to configure VMware products with networks and storage. This also includes knowledge on VMware products like vRA, vDI, vSAN, vDS, and so on.

·        Skills to do basic debug analysis during VMWare product crashes and to provide the RCA for the same.

·        Basic knowledge for integrating VMware products with other Third-party products. (Active Directory integration, Monitoring tools like Nagios, HP and Dell servers and Workstations.)

·        Skills to do life cycle operations on VMware & Windows products like upgrades, patching (install patches given by Hardware OEM) and migrations (moving inventory and VMs across VM Farms).

·        Skills to remotely operate VMware suite of products (VI Client, vCenter Portal, Power CLI and so on) and should have basic skill to remotely operation other connected services and products like (RDP, SSH, ILO/iDRAC, VNC).

·        Should have the Enthusiasm to learn related technologies with and outside VMware on virtualization and cloud computing.

·        Should have an open mind to engage tasks and debug issues on first attempt and to explore technology and documents and internet for answers to fix issues.

·        Application experience for a large variety of server-based business applications.

·        Administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 AD /DNS environment.

·        infrastructure for VMware & Physical servers LUN assignment.

·        ESXi OS and vCenter upgrades.

·        Performance troubleshooting and monitoring through server manager

·        Capacity alert handling, Windows drive expansion, handling user queries and incidents etc

·        Track and input time on tickets.

·        Stay current with system information, changes and updates.

·        Ability to speak to a non-technical audience about technical problem.

·        Understanding of ITIL processes and procedures and willingness to follow them.

·        Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of server, hardware and Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems.
