Job Description

The Webapp Lead will oversee the design, implementation, and management of middleware solutions that support enterprise applications and integrations. This role involves working closely with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure the middleware environment is robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and architect middleware solutions to meet the organization's business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

2. Lead and participate in RFP processes,evaluate and recommend middleware solutions that align with customer requirements and organizational goals.

3. Design, implement, and manage containerized middleware environments using Docker and Kubernetes, develop container orchestration strategies to improve scalability and manageability of middleware solutions.

4. Design and deploy middleware clusters for high availability and fault tolerance, ensuring seamless failover and load balancing.

5. Develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks using tools like Ansible to streamline middleware deployment, configuration, and management tasks.

6. Conduct performance analysis and tuning of middleware components to optimize resource utilization, throughput, and response times.

7. Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and OME to proactively identify and address performance and availability issues.

8. Implement security best practices and procedures for middleware components, including timely application of patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.

9. Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for middleware-related incidents, including analysis of thread and heap dumps to identify root causes.

10. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of middleware configurations, processes, and procedures. Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and training for internal teams.

Desired Skills

1. Experience with implementation and configuration of middleware technologies including Nginx, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, RabbitMQ, and Active MQ.

2. Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Shell scripting.

3. Experience with performance tuning and analysis, including thread and heap dump analysis, using tools like AppDynamics, Grafana, and OME.

4. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

5. Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions and hybrid integration platforms.

6. Relevant certifications in middleware technologies and tools are a plus.
