Responsibilities
• Independently work on technical documentation projects as per agreed timelines; and adhere to writing and organizational standards.
• Demonstrate strong technical acumen while collaborating with Developers, QAs, Architects, Product SMEs, and other stakeholders to gather documentation requirements.
• Plan, research, write, and update a variety of documentation, including SOPs, user / admin guides, product overviews, website content, video scripts, leaflets, PowerPoint decks, and API documentation.
• Consistently work towards improving user experience by providing inputs and new ideas that aim to enhance the impact of content created for user awareness.
• Work as a strong team player by collaborating with peer writers, performing documentation reviews, offering qualitative inputs, and sharing best practices to achieve organizational goals.
• Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, continuously changing Agile environment.
• Work on authoring, publishing and video editing tools such as, Adobe Robohelp, Confluence, Git and GitHub, MS Word, Camtasia, and Adobe Captivate.
• Work with graphics and motion graphics designers to develop visual content, including flyers, brochures, PowerPoint decks, and videos.
• Ideate and conceptualise on new content creation requirements. Work as a continuous and smart innovator who suggests ways to standardise processes and streamline daily tasks.
• Prepare PowerPoint decks and Excel reports as per business requirement
Objectives
• Take ownership of content and drive the content development lifecycle from planning to publishing and support post-release activities.
• Obtain thorough understanding about products and services, and create easy-to-understand and engaging documents as per the target audience
• Analyse existing information, perform competitor research, and suggest innovative approaches for content improvement and delivery.
• Independently create self-help documentation that is backed by thorough research, active participation in demo and scrum calls, and asking the right questions from SMEs.
• Be open to analyse self-developed content based on feedback received to ensure the document provides accurate information to readers.
• Test and try the products, as applicable, to learn the pain points of users and continuously iterate content to address the same.
• Share user pain points with the Product teams that can help improve the overall user experience of customers.
• Exercise great attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliverables, meet tight deadlines to serve customer requirements, and showcase the ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
Mandatory Requirements
• BA / BE / B.Tech / MCA or degree in Technical Communication or related discipline, with at least 5 years of experience in writing complex documentation for web-based software.
• Minimum 3 years of IT industry experience
• Excellent command on written and spoken English with the ability to produce error-free content that has a high grammatical and language accuracy quotient.
• Team player, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, operations, support, and product management.
