System Administrator – Linux/Vmware/Wintel: DC Systems (Servers) implementation and operation support – IDC Nagpur

Primary Responsibility

- Will be part of IT implementation and operations team.

- Primarily would work on Server Implementation projects and IT operations L1/L2 support.

- Will be part of 24x7 team

- To implement and support, Linux, Windows and VMWare environment.

- Data center specific knowledge with routine system administration essential for Linux, Wintel, VMware.

- Work and Support IDC implementation team for infrastructure project deployments. Infrastructure projects typically are deployment of Servers, Storages and Network etc.

- Coordinate with Vendors (HP, IBM.EMC etc.) for break-fix / deploying new IT Solutions / Products.

- Ensure 99.9% uptime for systems and applications for the business with the help of onsite team, OEM and NOC team.

Experience:

-More than 5 years relevant experience in IT

- Should have worked in IT Infrastructure Operations involving heterogeneous technologies (HP / IBM / Sun / EMC / CISCO etc.).

- Should have Data Center Exposure of managing mid & high end systems / servers.

- Should have hands on experience on system / server technology (HP, IBM etc.).

- Should have worked on different servers operating systems, like Windows /Linux – Red Hat, Suse, Cent OS / AIX etc.

- Added advantage to have good working knowledge on VMWare and Virtualization

- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments

- Added advantage to have familiarity with the fundamentals of scripting (Shell, Open Source etc.)

- Added advantage to have network Knowledge.

- Should have good communication skills (Written & Spoken)
