Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Application Solution Architect to join our IT Infrastructure team. You will play a key role in supporting the migration of multiple applications to our new Azure HCI private cloud environment. You will work closely with infrastructure architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with infrastructure architects to understand the technical requirements and dependencies of applications slated for migration to Azure HCI.
• Design and implement solutions for migrating on-premises applications to the Azure HCI private cloud environment.
• Analyse application architecture and identify potential challenges or roadblocks during the migration process.
• Develop and document migration plans for assigned applications, outlining the migration approach, timeline, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with developers to address application compatibility issues and ensure smooth integration with the Azure HCI environment.
• Participate in proof-of-concept (POC) activities to validate the migration approach and identify potential risks.
• Configure and manage Azure HCI resources to support migrated applications.
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and mentor junior team members.
• Develop and implement data mapping strategies to ensure accurate and consistent data flow between applications during and after migration.
• Monitor application and integration performance to identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise after migration.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to application owners and developers on the Azure HCI platform and integration best practices.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Azure integration services, application integration patterns, and cloud technologies.
• Define and document application integration standards and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient integration across the organization.
• Collaborate with API owners to understand the capabilities and limitations of existing APIs and design solutions for consuming or exposing APIs as needed during the migration process.
• Evaluate and recommend new integration tools and technologies to support future application integration needs.

Qualifications:

• 15-20 years of experience in application architecture and solution design.
• Proven experience in migrating applications to cloud environments (preferably Azure).
• In-depth understanding of application lifecycle management (ALM) methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including networking, storage, stretched clusters, and security.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) is a plus.
• A minimum of one Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is highly preferred.
• Possession of a recognized enterprise architecture framework certification, such as TOGAF, Zachman Framework, or DoDAF, is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
