OPENSTACK MONITORING & OPERATIONS

The Cloud team is agile, fast-moving team driving the future of this central Jio platform. We are providing IaaS (OpenStack Cloud) and are looking for a Senior DevOps engineers who are experts in monitoring and troubleshooting Open Stack and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of systems administration experience in Unix, Open Stack and other Cloud Technologies
2. Experience as systems engineer handling different aspects of a production site like web servers, network issue debugging, good understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, racking and cabling, server configuration and experience working in a 24x7 environment.
3. Strong Experience with Incident, release and change management.
4. Strong experience with scripting and automation using Perl, shell, Python or any other scripting languages.
5. Experience with monitoring of Enterprise servers using Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Netapp OCM, consul.
6. Basic experience handling databases like Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• OpenStack Cloud Management: Manage and monitor OpenStack clusters to ensure uptime, stability, and performance.
• ·Responsible for managing advanced storage clusters like Ceph, ECS Storage, PureStorage and NetApp.
• ·Monitoring & Alerting: Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana to ensure early detection of issues and timely resolution.
• ·Incident Management: Lead incident, problem, and change management processes, troubleshooting complex issues in production environments
• ·Automation: Implement automation scripts using Shell, Python, or other scripting languages to streamline operations, deployments, and monitoring tasks.
• ·Responsible for capacity planning and optimization of existing resources and infrastructure
• ·Responsible for production support and oncall on 24x7 basis

Key Performance Indicators:

·      Individual will be measured against 100% uptime of OpenStack cloud and component availability

·      Elimination of manual processes and 100% automation of processes in the Openstack cloud

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Qualification: Necessary:     Engineering graduate

                                              Desirable:      BE Computer Science or MTech Computer Science
