We are seeking a highly skilled OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure & Storage Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join Cloud team. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, deploying, managing, and scaling large OpenStack-based cloud environments and advanced storage platforms. You will provide deep technical expertise on cloud infrastructure and storage solutions, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud services. 

Location: Mumbai OR Gurgaon

This position demands strong problem-solving skills, leadership in cloud computing, and in-depth expertise in OpenStack architecture, Kubernetes, and storage technologies such as ECS Storage, NetApp, Ceph, and PureStorage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape technical strategies and drive innovation in our cloud offerings. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 7+ years in cloud infrastructure management, with in-depth expertise in OpenStack. 
• Extensive experience with storage technologies, including Ceph, ECS Storage, PureStorage and NetApp. 
• Hands-on experience in Linux and open-source software configuration, deployment, and management. 
• Proven experience as a systems engineer, managing production environments, including web servers, network issue troubleshooting, and a solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, server racking, cabling, and configuration. 
• Familiarity with working in 24x7 production environments and managing site responsibilities. 
• Strong experience with Incident, release and change management. 
• Strong experience with scripting and automation using Perl, shell, Python or any other scripting languages. 
• Experience with configuration management software like Puppet or Ansible.  
• Experience with monitoring of Enterprise servers using Prometheus, and creating operational dashboard using Grafana. 
• Ability to work well in both team oriented environment and individually. 
• Excellent problem solving skills with a strong technical background and good interoperable skills. 
• Basic experience handling databases like Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for administration, monitoring and management of OpenStack clusters in Reliance datacenters along with managing storage clusters 
• Responsible for configuration management, automation of processes 
• Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions effectively, providing specialized support in cloud storage management, cloud infrastructure, and performance optimization. 
• Manage the lifecycle of cloud services, supporting a range of storage solutions like EMC Elastic Cloud Storage, CEPH Clusters, and NetApp Block Storage, while ensuring stability and resilience in cloud environments   
• Responsible for capacity planning and optimization of existing resources and infrastructure 
• Responsible for production support and on call on 24x7 basis 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• OpenStack Cloud administration and monitoring along with production support and on call. 
• Automation, deployment and configuration management.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS 

Educational Qualification: Necessary: Engineering graduate  

Desirable: BE Computer Science or MTech Computer Science
