Senior Data Analyst – 8-10 years

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, publish, test and troubleshoot dashboards

• Maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, performance, and 

re-use

• Adding or creating dimensions, measures, and calculations

• Prepare data for use in Tableau desktop/designer

• Know about and provide connections to existing, new and diverse data sources

• Performing data modelling in Tableau Desktop

• Develop extracts, publish data sources and workbooks

• Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides

• Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports

• Develop custom scripts when needed

• Interpret and contextualize the results in business context and share 

outcomes/insights through dashboards

• Manage project timelines and provide timely updates on significant issues or 

developments

• Communicate results, findings and observations in clear and concise documents 

(presentations, reports) to peers and program leader in formal/informal reviews

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters in engineering, math, statistics, economics or relevant 

quantitative discipline

• Strong academic performance with emphasis on statistics is required

• 8 - 10 years of experience in advanced analytics domain in BFSI, Telecom, Retail, ecommerce, consulting or digital industry

• Proficiency with one of the statistical programming tools (eg. R, Python) is a must

• SQL proficiency is a must

• Ability to understand a problem statement and implement analytical solutions & 

techniques independently or with minimal supervision

• Ability to extract, aggregate and manage large volume data sets using data mining 

techniques

• Help decision makers shift from ad-hoc analysis to an ongoing conversation with 

data

• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business applications team and 

partner teams to deploy the developed solution to optimize the business operations 

seamlessly

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Certification in Tableau

• Experience in other BI tools such as PowerBI and Looker

• Experience with data integration and ETL processes

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data mining techniques

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

• Certification in Tableau
