NETWORK OPERATION ENGINEER

The Cloud team is an agile, fast-paced group leading the future of this core Jio platform. As we deliver Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) through OpenStack, we're looking for a Senior Network Operations Engineer with extensive expertise in managing and operating OpenStack environments.

In this role, you'll collaborate with networking specialists to provide production support for Cloud platform users. You will be pivotal in developing the networking strategy and roadmap, ensuring high-quality deliverables that enhance customer satisfaction.

Successful candidates will usually have a high degree of experience with security devices, load balancer & Firewall.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience handling complex Data Network design, implementation and management.
• Strong working experience on Software Defined Networks, including Cisco-ACI.
• Strong hands on experience on network security, firewalls, load balancers (NetScaler / F5), Network Virtualization
• Strong hands-on experience on Cisco Nexus switching.
• Strong experience as systems engineer handling different aspects of a production site like web servers, network issue debugging, good understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, racking and cabling, server configuration and experience working in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong Experience with Incident, release and change management.
• ITIL certified, CCNP, CCI certification is preferred.
• Experience with Unix, Linux and open source software configuration and deployment
•  Experience with scripting and automation using Perl, shell, Python or any other scripting languages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Round-the-clock coverage to ensure network issues are swiftly resolved at any time, reducing downtime and service interruptions.
• Manage network architecture and configure devices such as firewalls, data center switches, and load balancers, along with troubleshooting as required 
• Responsible for Capacity management and planning the improvement of the infrastructure
• Responsible for entire Cloud Network architecture optimization
• Responsible for production support and oncall on 24x7 basis.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

·      Cloud Network administration and monitoring along with production support and oncall.

·      Automation, deployment and configuration management.

·      Subject matter expert on different components of Cloud networking & Security.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Qualification: Necessary:    Engineering graduate

                                          Desirable:      BE Computer Science or MTech Computer Science
