Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Kubernetes Admin to join our team in Pune. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment within the media and telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, along with a strong understanding of Docker, networking, and various monitoring tools.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration in production environments, understanding container lifecycle management.
• Strong expertise in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters using cloud-native strategies to ensure seamless scalability and reliability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts, including network protocols, routing, and troubleshooting within a Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Proficiency in using monitoring tools like ELK stack for logging and troubleshooting, ensuring system performance and uptime.
• Solid understanding of best practices around security, configuration management, and automated deployments in Kubernetes setups.
• Capability to evaluate and integrate platform-level tools, ensuring optimal application operation across varied environments.
• Experience in implementing load balancers and proxies for efficient traffic management and bottleneck prevention.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, showing strong communication skills to facilitate cross-functional initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters to support high-availability and scalable applications, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain Docker images and manage container deployments, aiding in the seamless rollout of applications.
• Implement and operate monitoring tools to maintain insight into system performance, alerts, and utilization metrics.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to maintain healthy CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
• Ensure security and access controls are adhered to, safeguarding applications and data from potential threats.
• Perform regular system and application performance tuning, as well as capacity planning to anticipate future needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing timely solutions to minimize disruption and maintain service levels.
• Document processes, environments, and configuration management protocols to maintain alignment with business continuity directives.
