Role: Engineering Manager 

Key Responsibilities (Must have): 

• Team Leadership & Management: 
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of front-end engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development planning. 
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making within the team. 
• Technical Leadership: 
• Provide architectural guidance and direction for front-end projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable code. 
• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment processes. 
• Stay up to date with the latest front-end technologies and trends, integrating them into our development process where appropriate. 
• Project Management: 
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. 
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements. 
• Identify and mitigate risks related to front-end development. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: 
• Work closely with backend engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of APIs and services. 
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces. 
• Partner with QA teams to ensure robust testing strategies are in place. 
• Performance Optimization: 
• Lead efforts to optimize the performance of web applications, focusing on speed, responsiveness, and user experience. 
• Monitor and improve front-end application performance metrics. 
• Recruitment & Onboarding: 
• Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing candidates and onboarding new hires. 
• Build a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the company’s values and goals. 
• Stakeholder Management 

Qualifications: 

• Education: 
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Experience: 
• 12+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. 
• Proven experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). 
• Experience with version control systems like Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. 
• Strong understanding of front-end architecture, web performance optimization, and responsive design principles. 
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 

Skills (Must have): 

• Technical Skills: 
• Deep understanding of JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks. 
• Proficiency in CSS and preprocessors like SASS or LESS. 
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services. 
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress). 
• Leadership Skills: 
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Problem-Solving Skills:

Preferred Qualifications (Good to have): 

• Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and/or static site generation (SSG).
