Job Overview

This full-time mid-level Database Administration position is based in Pune, Pune Division. The role requires a minimum work experience of 4 years in database management and administration. The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our database systems to support various digital applications and services.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, ELK (Mandatory skill) for managing extensive database systems seamlessly.
• Strong proficiency in SQL to query, manipulate, and manage large sets of data efficiently.
• Excellent scripting skills to automate database tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of database administration practices including backup, recovery, and security management.
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high performance and availability.
• Ability to work with cloud-native database platforms and familiarity with public/private cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ELK databases to ensure reliability and availability of the data.
• Perform database monitoring, tuning, and optimization to maintain peak system performance.
• Implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular backups and recovery processes to ensure data preservation and quick recovery in case of system failures.
• Automate recurring database tasks using scripting for increased operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with application development teams to design and implement database solutions that support business requirements.
• Develop and maintain detailed database documentation and procedures for operational support.
• Proactively identify potential database issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
