Job Summary:
The Business Unit Head is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and performance of the business unit within Jio Platforms Ltd., with a specific focus on integrating gamification principles to enhance engagement, motivation, and productivity. This role involves managing a team, driving business growth, and ensuring that the unit meets its financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Unit Management:
- Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Oversee daily operations of the business unit and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.).
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
- Gamification Strategy:
- Design and implement gamification strategies to drive user engagement and enhance customer experience.
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and sales teams to integrate gamification into products and services.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of gamification strategies and make data-driven adjustments.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate staff to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing team.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback to improve performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure team members have professional development plans.
- Financial Oversight:
- Prepare and manage the business unit’s budget.
- Analyze financial data and develop effective strategies to reduce business costs and boost profitability.
- Ensure all financial targets are met and adhere to legal guidelines and in-house policies.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Communicate strategy and results to the unit’s employees and the company’s leadership team.
- Act as a representative of the business unit in meetings with external stakeholders.
- Innovation and Growth:
- Identify new market opportunities and lead initiatives to expand the business unit’s market presence.
- Drive innovation within the business unit to maintain competitive advantage.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential application within the business unit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Unit Head or in a similar executive role, with a strong understanding of gamification principles.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing gamification strategies.
- Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.
- Experience in budgeting and business planning.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
