Big Data COE – Data Architect

Job Description:

Big Data Centre of Excellence is building state-of-the-art Data Analytics and Management systems used across various Jio Platforms. Primarily we enable different businesses - ingest, process, manage and derive insights from data. We developed numerous data intelligence capabilities on top of these systems which communicate with each other and help businesses make informed decisions. Big Data COE encourages the usage of Open Source tools/services to build robust and resilient systems that form the core for various AI/ML capabilities.

This role is for a Data Engineer with solid development experience who will focus on creating robust data pipelines and enhancing existing ETL processes. You will be an integral part of development team examining requirements and designing optimal solutions. The role is for a self-motivated individual with knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and various Hadoop tools/services. The candidate will perform hands-on activities including design, documentation, development and test of new functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, design, and develop Products on the Azure platform.
• Design and develop solutions for Data Platforms ranging from Batch Data management to real-time data feeds.
• Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices , Api Management , Data Storage).
•  Develop solutions for the cloud and for Azure storage.
• Design identity & security and data platform solutions.
•  Design Azure infrastructure strategy.
• Understand design and production procedures and standards to create prototypes and finished products.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Data Managers and other team members to ensure successful production of application software.
• Design viable solutions for various systems and architectures to different types of businesses.
• ·Ensure a seamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity is a vital skill for Application Architects.
• ·Demonstrate both a strong business acumen and technical expertise.
• · Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
• · Work closely with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
• Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Identify the top cloud architecture solution patterns to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
• Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure team.
• Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices

REQUIREMENTS:

• ·Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study. MCA preferable.
• 12 - 15 years of overall experience.
• Certification MS Azure AZ-304,AZ-303,
• 6+ years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, Node.js, .NET, Python, MSSQL.
• 4+ years of experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles.
• Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.
• Good exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and automated deployment Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g. Jenkins).
• Strong, in-depth and demonstrable hands-on experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.
• ·Exposure to Agile development methodologies and deployment strategies.
